Landscape Architect

Robinson Anderson Summers, Inc (RAS) is an award-winning landscape architectural design firm based in Wilmington, Delaware. RAS enjoys national recognition for its work in public gardens and historic landscapes. The firm’s body of work is sensitive to landscape history and traditions, combined with the highest levels of creativity, horticultural richness and expertise, and environmental stewardship.

Founding Principal Rodney Robinson has practiced landscape architecture for more than forty years and is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects. He is recognized for his work in botanical gardens, residential estate design, and restoration of historic landscapes. Principals Geoff Anderson and Allan Summers have worked closely with Mr. Robinson for over twenty-five years. All three are trained in horticulture in addition to their professional degrees. The Principals are supported by three design professionals and administrative staff. The small size of the firm enables the Principals to maintain meaningful involvement in every project.

Construction Manager

EDiS was founded in Wilmington, Delaware in 1908 as the masonry contractor, Ernest DiSabatino and Sons, Inc. From that time until the middle of the 1940′s Ernest DiSabatino and Sons, Inc. worked as a masonry contractor in the Wilmington area, developing a reputation for quality construction. During that period, the company also developed an expertise in the concrete and carpentry trades. It was a natural progression for the organization to expand its capabilities to include general contracting. From 1945 to the early 1970s the organization provided general contracting services while striving to maintain their reputation for providing clients with quality construction projects. In the early 1970s, a new form of construction project delivery, construction management, was developed. Realizing construction management was an improvement over the traditional methods, the management of Ernest DiSabatino and Sons, Inc. decided to develop the expertise to provide the new service. Since then, EDiS has continued to provide construction management services to clients in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. To date, EDiS’ construction volume exceeds $1.5 billion worth of work in place.
